Anti-heroes are people who tend to do bad things for the overall goodness of others. They are usually praised for the good things they do for people, yet their faults are excused because their good deeds seem to outweigh the bad. One fictional character that could be considered an anti-hero is that of Robin Hood. Robin Hood is considered a hero because he gives to the poor, yet he steals from the rich to get the funds. Some people would consider him immoral for stealing, but some may praise him for his consideration and compassion for the poor. Anti-heroes therefore demonstrate characteristics of Robin Hood, which don't necessarily make them evil nor good neither.

I agree that an anti-hero is a person who performs somewhat immoral deeds for honorable reasons. Robin Hood is an excellent example, because although stealing is considered wrong, his intentions to help the poor are honorable.

I would agree that Robin Hood is a great example of an anti hero. Even though he does steal which many consider immoral he does it for the benefit of everyone.

I too agree. It's a bad deed stealing is, but for all the right reasons.

He is a perfect image for an anti hero. The stealing is a bad thing but when he is giving it to the poor and helping them it makes the act of stealing "ok".
